2025 AGM Results: Meet Your Exec

Meet Your New Executive!

Dear members,

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last night’s Annual General Meeting — whether in person or on Zoom. Your engagement, thoughtful questions, and commitment to our shared work made for a strong and productive evening.

A special thank you goes out to all those who put their names forward for election. It takes courage and dedication to step up in service of your colleagues, and our union is stronger for your willingness to contribute.

Congratulations to our newly elected Executive Officers
and Representatives:

We would like to express our gratitude to our outgoing Executive Members and Representatives for their dedication to the membership and union solidarity:

  • Yuchen Song (he/him) – Unit 2 Vice President
  • Katrina Keefer (she/her) – Communications Officer
  • Brennan Cornell (he/him) – Unit 2 Senate Representative
  • Maryam Nasir (she/her) – Trustee

A sincere thanks to our returning officers and representatives for your continued service and leadership. Your experience and ongoing commitment provide the stability and strength that keep our local moving forward.

We also want to remind members of two ongoing opportunities to get involved with your union:

  • Stewards: We’re continuing to grow our network of workplace supports and are looking for members interested in becoming stewards.
  • Equity Committee: We’re seeking new members to join our Equity Committee and help advance fairness and inclusion within our local.

Both roles include a $100 stipend each term and offer meaningful ways to contribute to the union’s work while connecting with colleagues across departments.
And before we wrap up the year, we’d love for you to join us at our Holiday Wreath-Making Social at The Trend on December 3rd from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. It’s a great chance to relax, connect with colleagues, and celebrate the season together.

As we look ahead, let’s keep the energy of the AGM going. Stay connected, attend meetings, share your experiences, and continue to stand together as we work to defend our rights, improve working conditions, and ensure fairness for all members.

In solidarity,
Mitch Champagne
Your CUPE 3908 President
