Martin Luther King Jr. Day is an American holiday celebrated on the 3rd Monday of the month in January — it is also celebrated across the globe.
This day celebrates and honours the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was a civil rights leader who fought for equal rights for Black Americans and to end racial discrimination. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4th, 1968, in response to his civil rights work.
